The Okayo WT-300 model can only be described as iconic. The red receivers have accompanied guides and tourists throughout Europe for over 10 years. They have gained a host of staunch supporters thanks to excellent parameters such as range, operating time, a resistant housing, and simple operation. All good things come to an end… to make room for something better!
The new digital generation – the Okayo WT-300D (Digital) model.
Thanks to the switch to digital transmission, we can not only offer a better price than the older analog versions (parts for analog systems are no longer produced, and consequently their prices are rising), but above all, a new – previously unattainable – function of remote channel change in receivers. Furthermore, the Okayo WT-300D receivers are equipped with the HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible) system, which makes them friendly to people using hearing aids. The digital WT-300D model (purple receivers, turquoise transmitters) is not compatible with the old analog generations of this model (red receivers, blue transmitters). Lack of compatibility is not a basis for a complaint or return of goods.
Less is more.
The Okayo WT-300D has 25 channels… However, this is only seemingly less than in the older generation. The new digital Okayo WT-300 has more channels that can be used simultaneously than its analog predecessor. Up to 25 groups can be guided simultaneously on separate channels in the same limited area (in the analog model – up to 10). This means that the probability of interference caused by other groups with the same model in popular tourist spots is even lower.
New model – known advantages.
The Okayo WT-300D features the already known – very good range and an even longer operating time than its older analog brother. On 1 charge/battery change, the receiver will operate for over 35 hours, which is 10 hours more. The WT-300D housing has not changed except for… the color. It is still the proven ABS material, resistant not only to cracks but even minor scratches, but this time it stands out with an unconventional and original hue. The transmitter has a built-in microphone, in case the external microphone is misplaced.
